Meet Milo: The Cat Behind Haunted Harvest

Meet Milo, the clever Siamese cat who may have been the real detective in Haunted Harvest!
In my fun interview, Milo spills the secrets of how he, Luna the psychic, and Lila the ghost followed clues, outsmarted the humans, and helped uncover who was trying to sabotage the Appleby Apple Orchard.

Sharon: Milo, thank you for agreeing to this interview. I understand you’re the feline mastermind behind solving the mystery in Haunted Harvest.

Milo: Mastermind? I prefer highly observant investigator. The humans tend to use fewer flattering words.

Sharon: Fair enough. So, what exactly happened at the Appleby Apple Orchard?

Milo: Someone was trying to sabotage the orchard. Shipments were being tampered with, strange things were happening, and the humans were spending far too much time arguing instead of paying attention.

Sharon: And that’s where you came in?

Milo: Naturally. I noticed things the humans overlooked. A scent here. Something out of place there. A suspicious person pretending not to be suspicious. Humans are terrible at noticing those things.

Sharon: How did you lead them to the clues?

Milo: I used my special investigative technique.

Sharon: Which is?

Milo: Staring.

Sharon: Staring?

Milo: Intently. At the exact thing they needed to notice. Sometimes I walked toward a clue. Sometimes I sat beside it. Once, I may have knocked something over.

Sharon: May have?

Milo: I don’t discuss ongoing investigations.

Sharon: You also had some unusual help. Tell us about Lila, the ghost of Evermore House.

Milo: Lila is very useful. She knows things the living don’t know, and I know things the humans don’t notice. We made a good team.

Sharon: What about Luna Bloom, the grandmotherly psychic?

Milo: Luna listens. Really listens. She understands that when a cat suddenly becomes very interested in something, there is probably a reason.

Sharon:So the three of you worked together?

Milo: Lila had the ghostly perspective. Luna had the psychic perspective. I had the cat perspective.

Sharon: And what exactly is the cat perspective?

Milo: I see everything.

Sharon: Even things the humans don’t?

Milo: Especially those things.

Sharon: One last question. If you could give readers one piece of advice before they start Haunted Harvest, what would it be?

Milo: Watch the orchard. Watch the humans. Watch the ghost.

Sharon: And?

Milo: Watch me.

Sharon: Because?

Milo: Milo sees everything.
