Summers With Santa: Life Lessons I Learned from Kris Kringle
Kindle Short Read Now Available FREE July 8-12, 2020

Not everyone has a sixty-year friendship with Santa Claus, but I did.

Who would have guessed I’d find a life-long best friend sitting in a faded red canvas beach chair fishing by a small crystal blue lake. A best friend who listened, was patient and always non-judgmental. A friend I know in my heart is the real Santa Claus.

Here are six invaluable life-lessons I learned from an old man named Kris. Trust me when I say, you are never too young nor too old to believe in the magic of Santa Claus.

A short read you can probably finish in under an hour or so. This is a clean and wholesome adult story although you may want to read it to your children and grandchildren. Santa’s lessons never go out of style or out of date.

I was asked why after 30+ years I decided to switch from writing non-fiction and started focusing on developing a library of fun fictional short reads. Here’s my answer in this short video.

When I finished writing the four books in the Oscar the Doxie Detective series, I was sure I wouldn’t be writing about Happy Hills Arizona again. But, I couldn’t get Sara, Sam, Oscar and Lucky out of my head. I knew the detective series was finished, so instead I wanted to write a book from Sara and Sam’s point of view instead of Oscar’s.

Fun Short Read

Sam and Sara are loosely, and I mean loosely, based on my husband and myself. Oscar is patterned after our own beloved mini-dachshund Oscar.

Oscar’s new brother Lucky is based on a dachshund we met while on vacation. A truck driver rescued an emaciated doxie from a puppy mill just that morning and named him Lucky. Oscar and Lucky met at a rest stop and Oscar willingly shared his food. It was as if Oscar knew Lucky needed nourishment, love and support. I often think about Lucky and hope he’s had a long and happy life with his new family.

My goal for writing Dog Treats, Doxies and Danger is to put a smile on your face and a fun cozy dog gone good who done it mystery on your bookshelf.
