Victory isn’t always about finishing first…Hope: I’ve started campaigning for the office I’m currently holding, District Attorney of Crystal Falls, Nebraska. I’ve never campaigned for anything in my life. I’m like a duck out of water and sometimes I feel like I’m drowning. I’m overwhelmed with meetings, speeches, and press releases. My opponent is out for blood – my blood.
I’m not giving up and I’m not getting discouraged. I’m stronger than my fears.
Susan: What’s this new 1970’s mumble-jumble about when life hands you lemons, make lemonade. Well, right now my life is filled with bushels of lemons and I’m looking for that elusive lemonade recipe. Sure, I sing “I am woman” right along with Helen Reddy and subscribe to Ms. Magazine, but I’ve come to realize my life is at a personal and professional crossroads.
I am not a complainer – I am a doer and I’m ready to shake things up.
